Garden Cafe and Catering
The average morsel of food travels two thousand miles across the United States before being consumed. Moreover, petroleum-dependent farming and transportation practices require more calories than we are able to extract from the food we consume. Suffice to say that American agribusiness weakens our bodies, our soil and our pocketbooks; as such, it isn't a sustainable endeavor.
The mission of the WellSprings' Garden Cafe is to demonstrate sustainable garden-to-table cuisine, utilizing farm fresh, organic produce grown locally and, whenever possible, from our own vegetable and herb gardens. Currently, three acres are under cultivation. Our Garden Cafe should be up and running by the summer of 2013.
